For the third time in a row, the nova Session will discuss current policy developments impacting bio-based plastics. Experts from nova-Institute, industry associations and from the European Commission (DG Environment) will provide valuable insights, while there is always ample room for discussions.

The focal points will be:

  • Single-Use Plastics Directive and microplastics restriction (REACH) – what are the latest news? (Major decisions expected for late summer / early autumn)
  • The Commission plans for the new framework for bio-based and biodegradable plastics
  • Single-use plastic policies worldwide and their impact on bio-based/biodegradable plastics
